Hallo,

Hi all, I've been looking through the forum, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. The problem is that the image just doesn't want to be transparent - it always has a white background.

Initially the image was user.png - I renamed it to user.pngx and added it as a resource.

I have the following code:

Code:

TouchPictureButton tpbButton = new TouchPictureButton();
tpbButton.Icon = AlphaImage.FromResource("MyApp.Properties.Resources", "user", this.GetType().Assembly, CultureInfo.CurrentCulture);
tpbButton.Height = tpbButton.Icon.Height;
tpbButton.Width = tpbButton.Icon.Width;

this.Controls.Add(tpbButton);

This draws the image correctly on the screen. But, as I said, with a white background. I have a light-green background on the screen (achieved through FillRectangle method).

The FillRectangle part is currently in the Paint event of the form and the TouchPictureButton stuff is in the form constructor.

What am I missing? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi All,

I really like this mobile toolkit and have come out with code how to
create the TouchListItem with subitem.

(a) Not selected state

(b) TouchListItem selected state (Expanded)

© TouchListItem subitem selected state

I hope you enjoy it, suggestion are highly welcome. Thanks Sascha for the FAQ making this possible.

Regards,
winston cs.

1) Add selectedIndexChanged event to touchListBox to change the item height when selected.

Quote: touchListBox1.OnSelectedIndexChanged += new TouchListBox.SelectedIndexChanged(touchListBox1_OnSelectedIndexChanged);

void touchListBox1_OnSelectedIndexChanged(object sender, int oldIndex, int newIndex)
{
// Expand or shrink item
if (oldIndex != newIndex)
{
if (newIndex != -1)
touchListBox1.Items[newIndex].Height = TouchButtonBarListItem.ITEM_SELECTED_HEIGHT;
if (oldIndex != -1)
touchListBox1.Items[oldIndex].Height = TouchButtonBarListItem.ITEM_HEIGHT;
}
}

2) This add the TouchButtonBarListItem, the onMouseUp() and onMouseDown() event use to show the highlighted subitem when clicked.

The CheckSubItemButtonClick() will return which sub-item is clicked.

Quote:TouchButtonBarListItem ti = new TouchButtonBarListItem(touchListBox1);
ti.Text = "TouchButtonBarList Item";
ti.OnMouseDown += new TouchListItem.MouseDown(ti_OnMouseDown);
ti.OnMouseUp += new TouchListItem.MouseUp(ti_OnMouseUp);
touchListBox1.Items.Add(ti);

void ti_OnMouseUp(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
TouchButtonBarListItem ti = (TouchButtonBarListItem)sender;

ti.ClearSelectedSubItem();
ti.Update();
}

void ti_OnMouseDown(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
TouchButtonBarListItem ti = (TouchButtonBarListItem)sender;
string subButtonText = ti.CheckSubItemButtonClick(e.X, e.Y, ti.BitmapPosition);
ti.Update();
}

3) This is the TouchButtonBarListItem extend from TouchListItem.

Quote:using System;

Hi All,

I really like this mobile toolkit and have come out with code how to
create the TouchListItem with subitem.

(a) Not selected state

(b) TouchListItem selected state (Expanded)

© TouchListItem subitem selected state

I hope you enjoy it, suggestion are highly welcome. Thanks Sascha for the FAQ making this possible.

1) Add selectedIndexChanged event to touchListBox to change the item height when selected.

Quote: touchListBox1.OnSelectedIndexChanged += new TouchListBox.SelectedIndexChanged(touchListBox1_OnSelectedIndexChanged);

void touchListBox1_OnSelectedIndexChanged(object sender, int oldIndex, int newIndex)
{
// Expand or shrink item
if (oldIndex != newIndex)
{
if (newIndex != -1)
touchListBox1.Items[newIndex].Height = TouchButtonBarListItem.ITEM_SELECTED_HEIGHT;
if (oldIndex != -1)
touchListBox1.Items[oldIndex].Height = TouchButtonBarListItem.ITEM_HEIGHT;
}
}

2) This add the TouchButtonBarListItem, the onMouseUp() and onMouseDown() event use to show the highlighted subitem when clicked.

The CheckSubItemButtonClick() will return which sub-item is clicked.

Quote:TouchButtonBarListItem ti = new TouchButtonBarListItem(touchListBox1);
ti.Text = "TouchButtonBarList Item";
ti.OnMouseDown += new TouchListItem.MouseDown(ti_OnMouseDown);
ti.OnMouseUp += new TouchListItem.MouseUp(ti_OnMouseUp);
touchListBox1.Items.Add(ti);

void ti_OnMouseUp(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
TouchButtonBarListItem ti = (TouchButtonBarListItem)sender;

ti.ClearSelectedSubItem();
ti.Update();
}

void ti_OnMouseDown(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
TouchButtonBarListItem ti = (TouchButtonBarListItem)sender;
string subButtonText = ti.CheckSubItemButtonClick(e.X, e.Y, ti.BitmapPosition);
ti.Update();
}

I'm checking out the demo/sample applications and looking at the ContextMenu Demo. My question is how do you place an Alphaform control on a page. I don't see a tool in the toolbox for this (I can see them for other touchcontrols (e.g. TouchListBox etc).

Something related mught be that when I view the contextMenuForm.cs[Design] it has a message displaying behind the TouchListbox which says "Visual Inheritance is currently disabled because the base class references a device-specific component or contains P/Invoke"

Any ideads on what might be going on?

Sorry for frequent post recently, I just hope to find some answer to improve my software. It is a good components which save a lot of my time, I must admit.

I created a touchButtonBar and populate 3 buttons inside,
click on 3rd buttons will remove the 3 buttons and
repopulate the touchButtonBar with 2 new buttons with different function.

Then, the application throws the following exception,
System.ArgumentOutofRangeException: Parameter name:index
